Animal Rights Law Counsel — Pilot concluded — August 2026

ICARE piloted Animal Rights Law Counsel to explore how bespoke legal research and strategic support could help animal advocates and organisations advance concrete legal and policy opportunities.

Following a review of the pilot, its resource requirements and ICARE’s wider programme priorities, we decided not to continue this service in its current form. The pilot highlighted both the potential value of specialised animal law support and the sustained legal, supervisory and operational capacity required to provide bespoke support responsibly.

ICARE is therefore no longer accepting requests for legal research or counsel through this programme. The learning from the pilot is informing our future research, advocacy and capacity-building work.
